Our Client (heavy engineering) on the Isle of Grain is seeking skilled Steel Fixers – the role is offered as a temp to perm role, paid weekly via React Recruitment (PAYE - weekly pay).
Location: Isle of Grain, transport locally from Medway provided
Hours: 7am to 7pm, Monday to Friday
Overtime: paid at time and a half on Saturday: 7am to 2pm when required
Pay: Top rates, paid weekly
Steel Fixers please apply if you can work 12 hour shifts - Monday to Friday - 7am to 7pm, Friday – overtime available Saturday mornings.
The Steel Fixers role is physically tough, manual work within an industrial factory (no outside work involved)
Steel Fixers duties will include:
- Using hand and power tools to cut and bend bars or mesh
- Tying steel reinforcement bars (rebars) to build cages
- Fitting spacers and chairs (supports)
- Using rebar to build special casts to keep setting concrete in place
- Fixing steel to concrete bases
Initially you will be required to provide your own safety boots, high-vis vest, and hard hat, replacements will then be provided by the employer.
