Our Client is seeking a Trainee Planner.  Applications are welcome from all candidates with a good level of education:

 

  • Must have BTEC/GCSE’s including Maths and English grade C or above.
  • A-Level Education or equivalent (Desirable).

 

Salary:            depending on experience – potential apprenticeship available

Location:        Hoo – car driver required – no hybrid working

Hours:            Monday to Thursday 7:30am – 4pm

Friday 7:30am to 12:30pm.

Benefits:        Discretionary Bonus Scheme, 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays. Increasing to 27 days after completion of 5 continuous years’ service. Pension scheme, secure on-site parking.

 

Reporting to the Senior Production Scheduler, this role will plan and manage the supply of products and materials from the supply chain, through the manufacturing facility, to meet customers’ expectations, on time.

Trainee Planner skills:

  • Strong communication skills (verbal/ written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Systematic approach to problem solving.
  • Be an excellent team player.
  • Attention to detail.

Trainee Planner duties:

  • Communicate and report planning data accurately and clearly for the business in a timely manner, consolidating the key issues for presentation.
  • Participate in activity with internal departments to achieve the required outcome, play a role in data preparation for SOP (Sales and Operations Planning) meetings.
  • Through using the Efacs ERP system, inject, maintain and improve MRP parameters to ensure recommendations to make and buy accurately reflect the needs of the business. 
  • Assist with the management of the material delivery schedules for made and bought items. Liaise with material controllers, planners and sales to communicate issues. Feedback where sales orders may be delayed.
  • Support the twice weekly Capacity Planning run and reports.

Qualifications:

  • Must have BTEC/GCSE’s including Maths and English grade C or above.
  • A-Level Education or equivalent (Desirable).
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
