Our  Client in Sidcup is looking for a Workshop Assembler.  The role is offered as a full-time permanent position working Monday to Friday.  Training will be given to those with some engineering workshop experience.

 

Benefits:        20 days holiday + 8 BH, ‘NOW’ pension

Hours:            Monday to Thursday, 8am to 5pm, Friday 8am to 1pm

Paid monthly

 

The Workshop Assembler role will suit candidates with a formal Electrical or Electronic or Mechanical education looking for their first role or candidates with some assembly experience.

 

Workshop Assembler duties will involve working across all manufacturing departments working on the shopfloor:  

 

  • Mechanical and electrical assembly
  • Wiring - cable forms and mechanics, panelling etc
  • cleaning units after being tested
  • making up sub- assemblies
  • some knowledge of pipework would be a bonus, building the smaller range of units.  
  • Use of workshop tools
    • Hand tools
    • Air tools
    • MIG and or TIG
    • Braising
    • Pillar drills
    • Bench grinder
    • good level of written and verbal English

 

Suitable candidates will need to live locally if non drivers or ideal location for those with their own transport would be Sidcup, Orpington, Footscray, St Pauls Cray, Chislehurst, Bexley, Swanley
