Our Client requires a Senior Mechanical Engineer, the post holder works closely with the Technical Director assisting where necessary with new designs of new products and projects as and when necessary
Role: Senior Mechanical Engineer - mechanical bias
Location: Biggin Hill (own transport required)
Salary: competitive with good benefits
Hours: 8.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday
Ideally degree or time served – mechanical bias.
Senior Mechanical Engineer skills and experience:
Manufacturing Engineer/Mechanical Engineer who has c10 years’ experience of working within a manufacturing business with a good understanding of
-
- sheet metal manufacturing and tooling requirements
- laser cutting and manual MIG/TIG welding
- CNC rolling, CNC folding
- Robot welding implementation/utilization.
Good working knowledge of the manufacture and development of new and existing products and manufacturing processes.
Ability to assist with any technical issues
Ability to complete and resolve customer queries
Ability to carry out drawings using Autodesk 2d AutoCAD and Autodesk 3D Inventor
Ensure that all manufacture processes and equipment used comply with safety and environmental legislation.
Good understanding of sheet metal manufacturing and tooling requirements and implementation.
Able to read and understand drawings.
Familiar with Engineering and drawing Control processes.
Familiar with ISO9001-2015 protocols
ASME, CE, UL manufacturing standards
Engineering from concept/design
Knowledge using CAD software, AutoCAD
Able to work under own initiative and formulate strategies for continual improvement
Experience in Validation principles and Protocols
Able to identify areas on improvement within the engineering and production processes
