Our Client is seeking a CNC Operator Programmer with design skills and offers career progression.
Salary: £16 - £17 ph - paid monthly
+ overtime paid at time and a half
Location: Maidstone
Hours: core hours 39 hours per week
7.30am to 4pm Monday to Thursday, 3pm finish on Friday
Benefits: 23 days leave pa, Xmas shut down, pension, free parking

CNC Operator Programmer skills / experience required:
- Experience of working and undertaken a structured formal training programme in sheet metalwork including familiarity with common sheet metal machines.
- Have undertaken a structured formal training programme
- Have understanding of Engineering Drawings (First and Third Angle)
- Be able to recognize and offer solutions and improvements in products
- Have worked in a fine limit sheet metalwork factory
- Have experience and a working knowledge of CNC punching machines (ideally LVD)
- Understanding of drawing issue control
- Have experience in Programming/Developing/Nesting flat patterns drawings on CAD CAM software Radan, StudioCAM, AutoCAD and LVD Delta Shape
- Programmed drawings for a CNC punch (Radan, StudioCAM, AutoCAD and LVD Delta Shape)
- Team player, conscientious, good at meeting production deadlines
CNC Operator/Programmer Role and Responsibilities:
- Be part of a team, with the Operations Manager and Production Supervisor
- Setting up and running the punch, preparing tools and materials
- Set up download and punch existing parts
- Have the ability to draw (in Radan or AutoCAD), modify, programme and download new simple parts
- Programme new parts for punching
- Setup the tooling for each punching operation
- Maintain the daily operation of the CNC punch including the sharpness and condition of tooling.
- Be able to manage a forward workload to ensure things are produced in a timely, orderly and efficient fashion.
- Keep track of schedule and items produced particularly when it is part of a project or large assembly.
- Manage and monitor stock levels to best utilize the company’s resources.
- Work with the Design Manager to ensure that designs are programmed ready for manufacture.
- Be able to perform other tasks around the factory to aid the process and timely delivery of a product
- Additionally this role can include full design
