Our Client based in North Kent is seeking a skilled 2D and 3D CAD Engineer (Rivet experience essential).

The role of 3D CAD Engineer is offered as full-time permanent position.

Salary:£32 – £36,000 pa + benefits

The role of 3D Rivet CAD Engineer is to produce appropriate 2D & 3D drawings that are sufficient, in content and accurate in detail for the proposal, design, presentation and construction of clean rooms, their various elements and aligned facilities that are suitable and timely to meet the proposal/project programme.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Computer literacy
  • Primarily, AutoCAD 2015 & higher - Revit 2015 & higher - essential
  • Windows 10. Microsoft Office Suite 2013 & higher.
  • Self-organisational skills
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Job related engineering knowledge
  • Negotiation skills
  • Good technical ability and knowledge

KEY TASKS:

·To source and analyse data from the project engineer and suppliers in order to compile, engineer and construct the information into drawing formats.

·To review the data and where necessary revise the drawings content on a timely basis.

·To organise working time and achieve project programme deadlines.

·To assist individual project engineers, and only wherever necessary, to include sourcing and ordering materials and equipment.

·To monitor and maintain adequate stock levels of stationary for the CAD department.

·To ensure that the equipment in the department is maintained and serviced as required.

·Where responsible for filing and to update drawing issues and registers relating to each project.

·To be responsible for archiving of drawings and correspondence files to a standard procedure.

·To assist in the review, development and updating of standard operating procedures for the CAD operators to include standard methods of drawing composition, blocks and symbols.

·Where required make site visits to carry out site surveys and attend BIM design meetings.

·To be familiar with construction (Design and Management) Regulations with regard to the design considerations relating to health and safety issues.

·In all activities to work within standard operating procedures.

·To act in accordance with the company’s health and safety policy and procedures.
