Our Client based in Gillingham requires a Warehouse and Facilities Operative : full UK driving license required.

 

Location:         Near Gillingham, Kent – no remote working available

Salary:             C£25,,000 pa

Hours:             8.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Thursday

9am to 3pm on Friday

Benefits:          25 days annual leave + BH

 

The Warehouse and Facilities Operative will ideally have the following skills/experience:

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Ø  GCSE minimum C grade in English & Maths with strong numerical skills

Ø  Warehouse experience

Ø  Experience of office procedures & computerized systems

Ø  UK driving license & authorization to work in the UK

Ø  UK Forklift License

 

The Warehouse and Facilities Operative Role will involve warehouse management and Building maintenance. Goods in and Goods Out.

 

This role requires good organisational skills, the ability to think quickly and manage multiple priorities at any one time.

 

Main Responsibilities

 

Ø    Logging all components, storage and recording.  Goods In & Out

Ø    Receive and store Production Samples including an annual stock take

Ø    General management of stock in warehouse

Ø    Picking & packing orders & stock

Ø    General maintenance of building, instructing and liaising with contractors where appropriate. Recording and monitoring all contracted work.

Ø    Responding to office equipment/facility repairs, liaising with contractors.  Once job completed checking associated contractors’ invoices

Ø    Maintain stock levels of office consumables

Ø    Cash & carry runs plus other errands (i.e. trips to hardware store)

Ø    Maintenance of company vehicle (safety checks, MOT etc carried out in good time)

Ø    Collection/Drop off for guests or staff

Ø    Booking and recording all driver journeys.

Ø    Maintain general tidiness of shared communal areas within the building and completing mid week checks of all areas.

Ø    Storing and maintaining facilities paperwork

Ø    Fire Marshall role

 

Ø    Answering telephones; transferring calls or taking messages as appropriate.

Ø    Answering the main door to visitors and couriers.

Ø    Distribution of incoming post.

Ø    Ordering Stationery and maintain the correct levels of stock and supply for the Head office.

Ø    Monitor and ensure regular building/office contractors arrive i.e. Edgars water, Sanitary bins, first aid supplies and Veolia.

Ø    Annual stock rotation, stock take and disposal. (Rainham office only)
