Our Client is seeking a skilled Electro/Mechanical Field Service Engineer.  The role will service Client’s equipment in the following geographical areas - Essex, East and SE London, Kent and Surrey.

The role will involve attending Clients for reactive and planned maintenance of Large Format Inkjet Printers; consideration will be given to applicants with a Dental/ Engraving/ Milling/ 3D Background.

Additional Benefits: Company Car/Pension/Private Healthcare/Mobile/Laptop/Home Broadband – pay is ‘door to door’ and generally the position offers 8-10 hours OT per week paid at time and a half. 

The position will also involve working away from home 1-2 nights per month where all expenses are paid.  You will also be required to travel for training (1+ week during the first month) and whilst work shadowing during your probationary period.

Person Specification

  • Proven background in field engineering/service ideally with a minimum five years' experience
  • Service/repair knowledge and experience
  • Must have Full UK Driving license
  • Be able to demonstrate a logical approach to problem solving
  • Knowledge of popular graphic design software such as Corel Draw and Adobe Illustrator is essential, to a level of efficiency to test & demonstrate the product workflow
  • Ability to work alone but also as part of a team using knowledge sharing to the best advantage for the team
  • Strong understanding of customer requirements
  • Strong interpersonal skills - collaboration, teamwork
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills together with a high degree of computer literacy
  • Accurate and timely record keeping e.g. computerised stock levels, job sheets etc
  • Flexible approach to the job & the ability to adapt to new and challenging workloads
  • Ability to manage own time effectively.
    Experience & Education
  • Ideally educated to A‘Level/GCSE standard or equivalent
  • Experience of working within a Field Service Environment
  • Experienced in using CRM systems
  • Knowledge of Microsoft packages – Outlook, Word, Excel. PowerPoint etc.
    Starting salary is £26,500 pa, with a slight increase after the 6 month probationary period + OT – OTE c£38K pa.
    Please note once through the first interview stage (local to you) you will be required to go to the Client’s HO for a formal interview which is also where the initial training will be held – all expenses will be paid.
